WorldPride: march postponed – donate sperm instead

Due to the “situation” in Israel and Lebanon (and Gaza, for that matter), there are various concerns which made it seem appropriate or necessary or unavoidable to postpone the WorldPride parade scheduled for today in Jerusalem. The concerns vary from being “religious-theological” (as articulated for instance by Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch), political (of some diversity: Helem [“Dream”], Al-Fatiha, ASWAT, QUIT!, more) or generally security-related.

Meanwhile, New Family suggested to donate sperm instead:

With the help of New Family, a human rights group dedicated to advancing family rights in Israel, hundreds of soldiers nationwide have decided to sign biological wills, which determine the ownership of their frozen sperm before they go to battle. […]

Rosenblum explained that there are two ways of donating sperm – extracting the sperm when the man is alive or a newer technology that enables the sperm to be removed once the man is dead.
